2025-26 Winter Season
Each year many of our players participate in both FCA Basketball and their school team basketball. FCA Basketball is a great way to prepare for your upcoming season and our current schedule should allow for players that are interested to participate in both. Most FCA basketball players, particularly at the older levels, have been successful in playing for both school and FCA.
FCA will have teams in 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grade divisions.
Dates and Times by grade for evaluations: Will be announced by July 10th. Evals will be mid-August.
Location: Field House courts at Wheaton Academy
Practices: Preseason training will begin in September; regular season practices will begin in late October and will run through the end of February. Practices are held in the Field House at Wheaton Academy.
Dates and Times: FCA Basketball typically practices on Monday and Thursday evenings. Games vary days and times vary during the season including some weeknight games (usually Thursdays) and weekend games, we work to not schedule Sunday morning games if at all possible. Official practice times, days and game times and days will be available as we move closer to the season.
Speed and agility work: We will continue to incorporate speed and agility work in our weekly sessions as we believe it is essential in athletic development.
Uniforms: Basketball uniforms will carry over from season to season in order to keep program costs lower. If your player has grown into a new size, you will have an opportunity to order and pay for a new uniform. The program will provide shooting shirts for all players.
Games: All teams 3rd-7th compete in the Dupage Youth Travel Basketball Association (DYTBL). Typical season is 14-18 games plus the playoffs. Half the games will be at Wheaton Academy and half the games will be away. Typical travel distance is less than 30 minutes away.
Fees include: Gym rentals, league fees, officials for home games, player shooter, insurance, coach’s stipend. We do not want the program cost to be the reason that a player is unable to participate. We have some scholarship dollars available. Please contact us if you have a need.
Fees for '25-'26 season: Team fees for the season will be $510 per player. No Change from last year.
